PROFESSIONAL
EXPERIENCE

In recent years he has been active in the field of world music, regarding Eastern European, Turkish, Arabic, Gypsy and Balkan music. In 2021 he founded the "Trio Beynelmilel", a trio composed of two saxes and davul which offers a repertoire of gypsy music from Thrace and Anatolia reflecting the typical zurna / davul ensemble. In the same year he joined the "Udgang" project, a jazz quartet containing the ud, with which he proposed an original music resulting from the union of Turkish music with European Jazz. In 2021 he started the musical project "Nevi Ensemble" with which he proposes a repertoire of Arabic, Turkish and Greek music. In the same year he started the “Eastward” trio project consisting of piano, clarinet, and tar, with which he proposes original compositions inspired by traditional Persian music. In 2022 he participated as a soloist on sax, clarinet, and duduk in the "East meets West" project of the Jong Metropole Orkest conducted by Tom Cohen. Since 2022 he has been part of the “Carlama Orkestar” group, a sax and percussion ensemble that offers an original Balkan-style repertoire. In 2020 he founded the ensemble "Meraki Balkan Orkestar", a septet with which he carries out research and study of Eastern European, Gypsy, Klezmer, Greek, Turkish and Arab music. Since 2018 he has been playing bass tuba within the street band "Fantomatik Orchestra", an important italian brass band with a jazz-funk repertoire, created by trombonist Stefano Scalzi. Since 2016 he has been actively playing with the “La Brasserie” septet which offers a repertoire of traditional music from the Eastern European tradition. He has been playing since 2012 in the "Balagan Cafè Orkestar" ensemble, created by the flutist Enrico Fink, an ensemble with which he offers a traditional and Yiddish klezmer repertoire. From 2010 to 2019 he plays the keyboards in the band "Finister", with whom he performs in numerous Italian and foreign stages and festivals (Serbia, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Germany, Great Britain). Together with the band Finister he recorded two discs released by the "Red Cat Records" label, which were well received by critics.


In the previous years he has played in various chamber music ensembles such as duo, trio, quartet, quintet and ensemble of saxophones, duo with piano, performing pieces from the classical repertoire up to ancient and contemporary music. He played from 2012 to 2018 with the Auris saxophone quartet offering a vast repertoire ranging from ancient to classical music, up to contemporary pieces. 


He collaborated as saxophonist with the Italian Youth Orchestra under the direction of the masters E. Rosadini, N. Paszkowski and G. Tavares. He collaborated in the role of first alto saxophone with the Instrumental Chamber of Prato under the direction of Maestro C. Franklin. He collaborated with the Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Bologna under the direction of Maestro M. Angius in the role of first saxophone for the production of "Don Perlimplin" by Bruno Maderna. In 2017 he participated in the production of "Studies for the intonation of the sea" by composer Salvatore Sciarrino directed by Maestro M. Angius, organized by the Teatro alla Scala in Milan as part of the review "Salvatore Sciarrino - The echo of voices".
